Aviation at Hawkrose
Hawkrose’s core business capability is the development of Balance of Investment (BoI) strategy for both public and private sector clients. We adopt state-of-the-art optimisation techniques, coupled with intrinsic knowledge of the domain to deliver unsurpassed levels of insight and strategic advice to our clients. In Aviation, the high quality of support offered is built on the marriage of ATM operational concept and systems expertise with an innovative and rigorous approach to data analysis.
ATM Concept Design and Evaluation
The implementation of new ATM concepts is seldom a one size fits all approach. Hawkrose consultants combine both the operational experience and analytical prowess required to finesse, optimise and de-risk the implementation of new operational modes into operations. As an example, Hawkrose consultants are experts in the technical implementation and post-operational audit of Airport Collaborative Decision Making (A-CDM) at major European airports such as London Heathrow (LHR) and Rome Fiumicino (FCO).
Airspace Change captures a set of activities that contributes to the safe, informed and evidence-based evolution of air navigation infrastructure in line with regulatory policy. The scope of typical Airspace Change projects is vast – from small low level route changes to a wide area redesign. Hawkrose consultants provides services in support of the Airspace Change Process that includes Project Management, Technical Assurance and Solution Design / Evaluation.
Airline and Airport Operational Resilience
Hawkrose understands the challenges, complexities and constraints faced by airline and airport operators. Our knowledge across both domains, coupled with advanced analytics allow us to propose both technological and procedural initiatives that result in tangible operational improvements. Hawkrose advice is validated with bespoke numerical modelling which serves to represent some of the nuances and sensitivities of an operation that typical Commercial Off-The Shelf (COTS) solutions often fail to represent.
Operational System Audit & Requirements Engineering
The emerging operating model across European aviation is for increased real time collaboration across stakeholders which is enabled by improved situational awareness and operational transparency. Data sharing across ATM and Airport operational systems is a paradigm that has been promoted by widespread adoption of A-CDM and most recently, Airport Operating Plan (AOP) concepts. Hawkrose consultants have held key technical roles in analysing the airport systems landscape and generating technical requirements that creates a bridge to the target operating model.
